Steering Vibration: High Speed vs. Low Speed Tells You the Cause

The speed at which vibration appears is the main diagnostic clue here.

The symptom

The steering wheel vibrates, typically noticeable above 70-80 km/h.

What's causing it

High-speed-only vibration is usually wheel balancing. Vibration at low speeds too points to alignment or tyre damage. Worse under braking suggests a warped brake disc.

What to do

Wheel balancing and alignment are both quick, affordable first checks before assuming anything more serious.
