Car Pulls to One Side: Start With the Free Fix

This is one of the few car problems where the first fix genuinely costs nothing.

The symptom

The car drifts to one side even on a straight, flat road.

What's causing it

Unequal tyre pressure is the most common cause. Beyond that, a misalignment, a stuck brake caliper, or a worn suspension component.

What to do

Equalize all tyre pressures first — free and takes two minutes. Still pulling? Get a wheel alignment, a quick and affordable service. Persisting beyond that needs a mechanic's inspection.

This is also covered automatically in a GetAutoSure Pre-Purchase Check.
